Select participants from the Indigenous People's and farming community partners of EcoWEB were trained by Bote Central on the operation of the coffee roasting machine and other equipment necessary for the production of fresh brewed coffee from the mountains of Iligan. To produce quality supply of beans, coffee depulper and dehuller is also provided which first set shall be brought to Barangay Panoroganan - a major coffee production area in Iligan. The project is supported by the DTI under its BUB 2014 program with some counterpart support from the LGU of Iligan. The P980,000 BUB project is hoped to increase the income of coffee farmers in the hinterlands of Iligan and help reduce poverty. EcoWEB, with initial support from the PWC Isla Lipana Philippines, is also establishing coffee nursery in Barangay Rogongon to boost the organic coffee production among the partner IP communities. Coffee industry is currently being developed by ECOWEB in partnership with the LGUs and CSOs in Iligan and 6 other municipalities in Lanao del Norte and with various national government agencies through the facilitation of the National Anti-Poverty Commission.
