CSOs of Iligan and LPRAT Monthly Meeting at Ecoweb

Civil Society Organizations of Iligan involved in the BUB process and in the Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT) have their monthly meeting conducted at the ECOWEB office for updating of projects having been implemented particularly the BUB 2014 projects under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) coursed through its Accredited Co-Partner.

About 50% of the P7.9M DOLE Projects was noted to have been implemented that include various projects such as meat/food processing, banana chips, bakery and pastries, cutflower production, livestock raising, dress-making, vulcanizing shop, among others that already benefit more than 50 organizations from the sectors of women, informal settlers, transport, farmers, fishersfolks, Sendong-affected resettled communities, among others.

BUB Monitoring Meeting with CSOs in Linamon, Lanao del Norte

ECOWEB Executive Director and NAPC Provincial Focal Person for the Bottom-up-Budgeting (BUB) had an evening meeting with the CSOs of Linamon, Lanao del Norte at ALERT Command Center to discuss issues and concerns of the BUB implementation in the municipality. Iligan CSOs Actively Engaging The BUB to Ensure Poverty Reduction

One of the regular semi-monthly meetings of Civil Society Organizations (CSO) members of the Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT) of Iligan with other concerned CSOs was held on May 13, 2015 at ECOWEB office to discuss important matters relative to the Bottom-up Budgeting (BUB) projects for 2014 and 2015 in Iligan City. LPRAT Co-Chair Nanette Salvador-Antequisa, the Executive Director of ECOWEB, facilitated the 5-hour late afternoon until evening meeting, which was actively participated by the CSOs representing the women, fisherfolks, PWD, farmers, informal settlers, Indigenous People, Transport, fisherfolks, Small Business, among others.

NAPC and DBM met Lanao CSOs on BUB

The National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) with Ms. Maxine Tanya M. Hamada, the Assistant Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), conducted a small group consultation meeting with the CSOs of Lanao del Norte in the evening of May 11, 2015 at Kyla's Bistro, Quezon Ave. Ext., Iligan City. CSO representatives from Iligan, Linamon, Kauswagan, and Kolambugan were able to attend the 2 hour dinner consultation meeting and able to voice out their issues and concerns on the implementation of BUB.
